Do you remember the papyrus basket that housed Moses? Handong Global University, like the papyrus basket, will produce the future leaders who change the world.
God, where are you? Are you listening to me? Haven¡¯t you led me through the path until now? Kneeling down in the darkness, I shouted out in tears, for hours. l am surrounded by the adversaries without an escape in this desolate wilderness. What do I do? How many times have we gone through this kind of experience? This is frequently how God led us to talk to him to teach us his real providence and love for us. Each time we came to God in tears, they were different tears. And after that, we got a little more mature and a little bit closer to God. He leads us through the desert school, as he led the Israelites, to mold and bless us. This is such a story of a miraculous drama of Handong Global University (HGU), a newly created Christian university in Korea, recounted by the wife of its founding president.
Handong Global University, as God¡¯s university, wants to be the Papyrus Basket that produces God¡¯s people who will save the nations. God established Handong Global University, a place where he sends students to train them to become agents of transformation and to change the world. This is not the finished story of Handong by any means. It is merely the first book of testimony of the almighty God¡¯s power and presence through the foundation phase of Handong. Those who have been a part of Handong from the beginning probably have many testimonies of their own. We do not yet know fully what God will do through Handong, which is based on that foundation.
